Freeze Warning?!?
Winterization Time is Here!
Last season we witnessed one of the coldest winters in recent years in our area. And, unfortunately, many people who performed their own winterization work experienced some problems in the spring. Remember, when you have a certified mechanic winterize your boat, you're not only paying for their 2 hours of labor at the time of winterization, you're also getting a guarantee that come spring time your engine block will not be busted. Sure you might be able to do the same winterization yourself and save a few bucks, but if you end up with a cracked engine block will it be worth what little you saved by doing it yourself?
This is one Do It Yourself job where the pros do not outweigh the cons.
We've included a list of mechanics around our area to make it easier for you to pick up the phone and schedule your winterization work.

*Be sure to verify that any mechanic you call to perform any work on your boat is a Certified Service Technician for your engine (MerCruiser, Volvo, etc) and ask them if they guarantee their winterization (be sure to keep your receipt at least until Spring, however it is good practice to retain all service/maintenance records on your boat as it is helpful for resale). You can also check with your Marina for references as they usually have a list of Certified Mechanics who are also insured and they're comfortable with having them working within their harbor.
